Rowan University is pleased to offer scholarship opportunities to support MS in Nursing students enrolled in the Family Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner programs.
These opportunities are provided through the DREAM program, a grant-funded initiative by the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA). This is a partial scholarship that applies to the Family Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner classes. The scholarship does not apply to the core classes in the MSN program.
The purpose of the DREAM program is to increase the number of primary care nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, and certified nurse midwives trained and prepared to provide primary care services, mental health and substance use disorder care, and/or maternal health care. The grant will support the training and graduation of advanced practice registered nursing (APRN) students/trainees in these disciplines by providing tuition and other eligible support to trainees. Funding preference will be given to those applicants who are committed to practice in underserved or rural communities or state and local health departments. Individuals from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and first-generation college students are strongly encouraged to apply to the program. All interested individuals are welcome to apply.
