Military Services Onboarding, Questions and Connections with the Military Services Staff
All new students are required to complete our office onboarding. During the onboarding, we will go over policies and procedures and answer any questions you may have.
Please click on and watch the onboarding for the benefits that you plan on using. If you are using more than one please watch both (for example: National Guard and 1606).
You must log in with your Rowan credentials to view the onboarding.

Frequently asked FAQs
FAQ: When Can I expect my BAH/MHA? If you are using a benefit that entitles you to a monthly stipend, you should receive the funds through direct deposit in the first week of October. Payments are always a month behind. You can check the status of your benefits by calling the VA education benefits hotline at 1-888-442-4551.
FAQ: I applied for the Military Appreciation Scholarship… why don’t I see it on my bill yet? The military appreciation scholarship will not show on your financial aid statement. This is a scholarship that is manually processed by our office. If awarded, you should see it reflected on your bill at the end of the first month of the fall or spring semester.
FAQ: National Guard Waivers: Will not show on bill until after it has been processed. Waivers are processed in order of receipt as soon as we are able after FASFA, semester forms/onboarding, and signatures are verified. If anything is missing we will contact your rowan student email account with what is missing and necessary steps to correct.
Bills Every student will have a bill. Step by step instructions on how to enroll in the Military Tuition Deferment Plan can be found here: https://www.rowan.edu/military/tuition-education-benefits/scholarships-tuition-deferment/. You should enroll in this plan as it communicates to the Bursar's office that you are a military affiliated student and are using benefits or scholarships, it also allows our staff to process your benefits and all of your entitlements before the due date and protects your account from negative actions for non-payment. (Please note: only one plan can be offered at a time- Fall plan starts 8/4, Spring plan starts 12/4, Summer plan starts 5/4.(you will not be able to enroll if you have not completed the new student onboarding)
