Millicent King Channell, DO, MA
Dr. Millicent King Channell is a 2001 graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. After completing her Family Medicine residency and Neuromusculoskeletal medicine residency/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, Dr. Channell joined the faculty of the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine in the Departments of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and Family Medicine. Dr. Channell has made numerous scholarly contributions to osteopathic medicine, most notably she co-authored the book The 5-Minute Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Consult (Lippincott Williams & Wilkins 2008). Dr. Channell serves on multiple professional committees including the Board of Directors the the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners (NBOME).
Sajid A. Surve, DO
Dr. Surve is a 2005 graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, School of Osteopathic Medicine (UMDNJ-SOM). After completing a traditional rotating internship at Delaware County Memorial Hospital in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, he became an inaugural resident and the first Chief Resident of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at Long Beach Medical Center in Long Beach, New York. Dr. Surve completed his residency in 2009, then returned to UMDNJ-SOM as an assistant professor. In addition to his primary residency, Dr. Surve is also a 2006 graduate of the Helms Medical Institute, Medical Acupuncture for Physicians course. He has also completed a NeuroMusculoskeletal Medicine/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine residency in December 2010. Dr. Surve has served on national committees within the osteopathic profession including the American Osteopathic Association Council for Interns and Residents, and is a past member of the Board of Governors of the American Academy of Osteopathy.
Danielle L. Cooley, DO
Dr. Danielle Cooley is a 2007 graduate of UMDNJ-SOM. She completed her Family Medicine internship and residency at UMDNJ-SOM as well. She is currently participating in a faculty development program granting board eligibility in Neuromuscular Medicine/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine also at the University. During her residency, she received the Alan Z. Gartzman, D.O. Memorial Award and has several peer reviewed publications. Dr. Cooley sees patients in both the OMM Department for Neuromuscular Medicine and in the Hainesport Ambulatory Site for Family Medicine.
Candice C. Boyer, DO, MBA
Clinical Assistant Professor
Dr. Candice Boyer graduated from PCOM in 2004 with a D.O./M.B.A. After completing her residencies at UMDNJ-SOM in Internal Medicine in 2007 and her Neuromusculoskeletal/ Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine plus one in 2008, she decided to practice only OMM. She currently runs her own practice doing house calls with the Amish Population in Lancaster PA. On the days she is not working she is a mother to 3 young and active boys.
