Rowan to hold Summer Institute in Materials Science for H.S. students

The Materials Research Group at Rowan University will hold the 2007 Summer Institute in Materials Science for high school students the week of July 23 to 27.

This program is open to high school students interested in science and engineering and entails hands-on learning experiences with Rowan faculty and students, using state-of-the-art equipment. Students will explore how science, engineering and new materials are helping shape the future while discovering the micro-universe, making and breaking composite materials and learning about job opportunities in the high-tech field of materials science

The fee is $250, which includes room and board. Applications are due June 10.
