Rowan holds 2007 Convocation September 10
September 05, 2007Rowan University will formally usher in the 2007-08 academic year at Convocation on Monday, September 10, at 11 a.m. in Pfleeger Concert Hall in Wilson Hall.
Convocation, which draws hundreds of students, faculty and staff, is the traditional ceremony that marks the beginning of the academic year and the start of freshmen's higher education career.
Spike Cook, guidance director at Delsea Regional Middle School in Franklinville, Rowan doctoral candidate and recipient of a bachelor's and two master's degrees from Rowan, will be guest speaker.
Also during Convocation, the University will recognize the recipients of the 2007 Lindback Distinguished Teaching Award and the Joseph A. Barnes Award for Outstanding Service to Rowan University.
