Biography

A multi-award-winning director, cinematographer, and editor, with over 15 years of experience in higher education, Michael DiGiorgio is the manager of digital media production at Rowan University. Michael leads the multimedia production team in crafting dynamic, engaging, and impactful stories through both video and photo. 

Michael has a worked in the television in film industry for over 20 years. Prior to Rowan University he was the digital studio director at Coastal Carolina University where he managed all production and visual storytelling narratives within the arts and humanities. He also managed the television and radio facilities at Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania. 

Michael is also an independent filmmaker and utilizes his extensive background in film and television to guide his expertise in storytelling to craft authentic and emotional human experiences. 

Michael received his M.F.A. in Directing Film and Television from Academy of Art University in San Francisco, and a B.A. in Communications from Stockton University. 

Michael is an avid Philadelphia sports fan and enjoys spending as much free time as possible with his wife and two children. They have a soft spot for animals and endeavor to run their own pit-bull rescue someday.
