Undergraduate Programs Radio, Television, and Film Requirements
The Department of Radio, Television & Film offers students a comprehensive education in media production, history, and aesthetics. Within the major, students may select from three concentrations:
-
Production Concentration, which provides intensive, hands-on coursework in radio, television, and film production.
-
Film and Television Studies Concentration, which emphasizes critical and historical approaches to media and prepares students for graduate study or careers in education, research, and criticism.
-
Photography Concentration, which develops creative and technical expertise in photography while exploring its role in storytelling, communication, and contemporary culture.
Students completing any concentration gain a broad-based liberal arts foundation along with specialized skills that prepare them for a wide range of professional opportunities. Students may also choose to pursue a double concentration to combine creative and analytical strengths across multiple media fields.
