Graduate Assistantships

In our department, MA students have the opportunity to work as Graduate Teaching Assistants. These positions are funded with a stipend of $6,500 per term and provide valuable professionalization and university-level teaching experience. 

GTAs work closely with lead instructors from RTF’s core faculty to manage and run their own discussion sections for lower division media studies classes like Introduction to Media Aesthetics (an introductory film and television analysis course).

Rowan students can also apply for tutoring positions in the Rowan Writing Center, which offers competitive hourly pay. Rowan has a limited number of competitive assistantships, which students may apply for through the School of Graduate Studies.
