Scholarships & Funding

Thanks to the generous donation of the Charles & Lucille King Family Foundation, RTF is fortunate to be able to offer funding opportunities for our Master of Arts degree through the Diana King Scholars in Television Studies program. Ms. King founded her Family Foundation in 1988 and, for three decades, supported education in television, film, and other media through it. Our program is named in her honor. These renewable scholarships are awarded at the time of acceptance. For more information, see the Rowan Global website.

Additional funding is available to graduate students through the department’s Student Experiential Learning Fund (SELF) grants, which can help defray up to $750 of the costs of travel to conferences, symposia, and other similar activities. The School of Graduate Studies offers similar awards through its Graduate Student Travel Fund

Additional grants and scholarship awards, both internal to Rowan and beyond, can be found through Scholarship Universe. Students may also apply for federal and state loans through Financial Aid. Unfortunately, most grants are only available for undergraduate students.
