Biography

Dr. Roberto Madero is Associate Professor of Spanish and Latin American literature. In addition to the elementary and intermediate sequences of Spanish courses, he teaches Latin American Civilization and Culture and major courses in Latin American literature. His interests focus on Rio de la Plata literature and culture. He is the author of a recent book on the writing of history and the historical novel in nineteenth century Argentina, where he approaches the subject from perspectives afforded by the sociology of texts, political thought, and legal culture. Dr. Madero is an active scholar, who currently participates in national and international conferences and collective publications.
