Alexis is a writer of young adult fiction and a librarian with a special interest in the health sciences. She has an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts, and a Mi-LIS from Rutgers University. She is currently a library specialist with Rowan’s School of Osteopathic Medicine.
 
Her dissertation focuses on misinformation education in the health sciences. Her research will examine the impact of generative AI and popular culture on the dissemination of misinformation. She wants to explore where current medical education could be improved to better prepare medical students to engage with and combat misinformation in their future practices as medical experts.
