Our online Supporting Mental Health and Social Emotional Development in Educational and Professional Settings Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) program supports the development of content knowledge for students who hold any educational degree, those working in other professionally related fields, and community stakeholders. This certificate will fill the gap and knowledge for currently enrolled students in educator master’s programs, and for those currently working in educational settings, agencies, or in the community; while remaining current with educational and professional trends. Students will learn knowledge and practices that closely examine how mental health and other diagnoses affect the academic and social development of all individuals. This certificate aims to educate, provide awareness, and give specific academic and social emotional strategies that educators, families, and community professionals can implement to assist in helping all individuals succeed.

The following is a list of items required to begin the application process for the program. There may be additional actions or materials required for admission to the program. Upon receipt of the materials below, a representative from the Rowan University Office of Admissions will contact you with confirmation, or will indicate any missing items.

 

  • Completed Application Form
  • $65 (U.S.) non-refundable application fee
  • Official transcripts from all colleges attended (regardless of number of credits earned)
  • Current professional resume
  • Master’s degree (or its equivalent) from an accredited institution of higher learning
  • Typewritten statement of professional objectives
    • Provide reasons for pursuing the program. Describe how you might use this program to advance your career (educational goals beyond the master's level, if applicable, are also relevant).
  • Recommended minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale)
