We are pleased to present Emerge, a juried exhibition featuring works made by students from the Rowan University photography program. The exhibition will be on view from December 13, 2025, through January 9, 2026, with an opening reception on Saturday, December 13, from 12 - 4 p.m.
Emerge highlights the depth and diversity of vision among emerging student photographers at Rowan University. The exhibition showcases works exploring identity, memory, environment, and community, reflecting the next generation’s engagement with the visual language of photography in an era shaped by digital culture and social transformation.
The selected works were chosen by a panel of Rowan alumni jurors, each an accomplished creative professional working across photography, video, and media production. Through Emerge, Rowan University celebrates the creative achievements of its photography students and the continued mentorship and engagement of its alumni network.

Elena Ordille (Class of 2017)

A producer at All That’s Good Productions, Elena oversees creative and post-production for branded and unscripted projects with clients such as Vox Media and Comcast NBCUniversal. Her award-winning work on Design Minded earned a 2021 Digiday Content Marketing Award. She also leads design and creative strategy for Made Possible Creative, a partner marketing agency.
Shaun Pierson (Class of 2019)

An artist working in photography and video, Shaun’s work has been exhibited nationally at venues including Luhring Augustine (NY), François Ghebaly (LA), and AMANITA (NYC). His photographs have been featured in The New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, Vogue Italia, and i-D Italy. Shaun holds an MFA from the Yale School of Art and resides in Brooklyn, NY.
Tyler Allen Williams (Class of 2023)

A portrait and wedding photographer known for cinematic storytelling, Tyler blends his background in media production with fine art sensibilities. His clients include Ten Brook Orthodontics and TEDx, and his work has twice earned Rowan’s Photography Award. Based on the East Coast, Tyler continues to expand his practice in photography and videography.
Dalila Velazquez-Mendez (Class of 2025)

A photographer and videographer from Camden, NJ, Dalila captures the vibrancy and humanity of her community through documentary and street photography. She currently manages JPEG Gallery, curating exhibitions that highlight diverse artistic voices, while also running her own photography and video business serving South Jersey clients and creatives.
