Faculty-Led Projects – Collaborative opportunities where students create medical, scientific, and engineering-based illustrations, graphics, and visualizations. Projects often integrate illustration, graphics, 3D visuals with AI and VR-driven biomedical visualization in partnership with faculty from Biomedical Visualization, engineering, and the sciences, giving students hands-on experience in applied research and interdisciplinary teamwork.

Industry Context
Generative AI and immersive technologies are transforming the way science and medicine are communicated. Major pharmaceutical and biotech companies—including Johnson & Johnson, Merck, and Eli Lilly—are leveraging AI and visualization tools to accelerate drug development, improve patient education, and train healthcare providers.
Rowan graduates enter this evolving landscape uniquely prepared—fluent in both the language of biology and the tools of visualization. Student VR Senior Exhibition Interactive Archive
The Biomedical Art & Visualization BFA is proud to present an archive of the 2020 Virtual Reality Group Exhibition, featuring senior thesis projects and portfolio highlights from Karlee D. Rogers, Lucas Petrin, Taylor McKeown, Megan Miller, Jennifer McCabe, Amanda Rosa, and Paxton Allen. The show includes 63 works spanning medical and scientific illustration, fine art, photography, and information design, created in collaboration with physicians, scientists, designers, and industry professionals.
The exhibition is available in two formats: a Virtual Reality Video Walkthrough and an Interactive VR Experience.
