Course Offerings

The course is designed to provide students with a basic understanding of producing a news program and developing a radio documentary. Students will gain an understanding of how to produce a radio news program by working with The Rowan Report

Equipment Room

The RTF Equipment Room serves the students, faculty, and staff of the College of Communication at Rowan University that are engaged in radio, television, film, and related media production specifically related to college curricula, coursework, and faculty-directed projects.

Facilities

STUDIO 1: Modular sound-proofed production space with overhead DMX-controlled lighting grid, studio pedestal-mounted cameras, green-screen/black curtains, and virtual production cart (w/Puget Sound Threadripper/ RTX4080, Unreal Engine, Aximmetry Broadcast, Mars Vive Tracker, Asus ProArt Monitors)

Student Groups

Our students learn and achieve while at Rowan. Beginning as early as freshman year, students can join and become active in extracurricular activities: members of Cinema Workshop, the student filmmaking organization; RTN -the Rowan Television Network, the on-campus student run cable television channel; and Rowan Radio 89.7 WGLS -FM, the university's broadcast radio station.

Scholarships

There are a number of great scholarship opportunities for RTF majors.  Applications are accepted from October 1st to February 28th each year, so don't miss out!

Internships can be an important part of your media-related education. But, they are not for everybody.
