The Praxis II Spanish Content Knowledge exam (5195) is required for K-12 Subject Matter teaching certification in New Jersey. The test measures general and subject-specific content knowledge needed for beginning teachers. The test is taken on the computer and lasts for approximately three hours. The exam, offered by ETS, includes listening, writing, and speaking. This exam can be taken at home or at select testing centers. *The test is limited in availability throughout the year. The exam must be passed prior to beginning professional coursework in the College of Education for the Clinical Practice/Student Teaching year.
