Internships - Radio/Television/Film Program

While not required to graduate with the RTF major, internships can be an important part of your media-related education. They place you in a real-world work environment with all of the deadlines and pressures that are part of the business of the company and can help you build the professional network that can jumpstart your career in the industry. 

Although it is exciting to be part of a media company's day-to-day operations, it is critical to remember that internships are also themselves courses, part of your college education, and that you are prepared for the media workplace by your college courses. Therefore, you are only eligible to enroll in an Internship after you have 75 earned credit hours, attained a minimum GPA of 2.5, and completed foundational courses to prepare you for the position.
