Adam Chazen ’08 — Visual Effects Producer

Five-time Emmy Award winner Adam Chazen ’08 is a visual effects producer whose work spans some of the most ambitious productions in film and television. After graduating from Rowan University’s Radio, Television & Film program, Chazen worked on projects including Iron Man 2, Transformers, 2012, Yogi Bear, and the acclaimed documentary Being Elmo: A Puppeteer’s Journey before joining HBO’s Game of Thrones.

As a visual effects associate producer on Game of Thrones, Chazen helped bring the series’ increasingly complex visual world to the screen and was part of the team that received five consecutive Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Special Visual Effects, from 2012 through 2016. He received another Emmy nomination for the series’ final season in 2019.

A New Jersey native, Chazen began experimenting with video production while still in middle and high school before pursuing filmmaking at Rowan. In 2013, Rowan recognized his achievements with the Distinguished Young Alumnus Award.
