2026 - 2027 MainStage Audition Information
Open for enrolled Rowan students in any program
Orientation Meeting:
Tuesday, September 1 at 5PM (Tohill Theater)
Monologue/Song Audition:
Wednesday, September 2, 6PM - 10PM (Tohill Theater)
Thursday, September 3, 6PM - 10PM (Tohill Theater)
Dance Audition:
Friday, September 4, 3PM - 6PM (Wilson 181)
Please Note: Students will audition for the entire season's shows in a single audition process. There are two parts to the process, one monologue & song and one dance. Students will need to sign up once for the monologue and once for the dance.
Audition Requirements
Monologue / Song
- Present a 60-90 second monologue from a play
- Ross Beschler is available for consultation. beschler@rowan.edu
- Present a selection of a song 32 bars in length that best shows your voice.
- Music may be in any style
- Sheet music must be printed, in a binder, and will be played by a provided accompanist
- If you do not have a prepared song you may sing a common tune acapella
- Jessica Arnold, the Music Director for the Department of Theatre & Dance, is available for consultation. You can reach her at arnoldj@rowan.edu
Dance
- Dress in comfortable clothes for dancing, no shoes, or socks
- Be prepared to spend the full hour at the audition

**Feedback will not be available following general auditions. Feedback following callbacks will be at the discretion of the individual directors and/or choreographers.
We support and accommodate students of all abilities to participate in each element of the audition.
Statement on Casting Practices: All shows on Rowan stages will be cast to allow maximum representation from the entire student body without exclusion.
