Biography

Krys Lemonias is an Assistant Professor of Interdisciplinary Art and Area Coordinator of Printmaking in the art department. Lemonias’ research ranges from relief printed tapestries and works on paper to large-scale fiber and found object sculptures. Her multidisciplinary art practice is primarily influenced by her research on social class privilege, citizenship, labor rights, and how economic inequality affects Black communities. Currently her focus is to collaborate with artists on community focused scholarship and creating artwork for exhibitions.
