Biography

Leo Mock (he/they) is a theatre-maker, clown, educator, and intimacy director. They have provided intimacy direction and consultation across greater Philadelphia, including The Wilma, Azuka, The Lantern, EgoPo, InterAct, TBD, Opera on Tap, Villanova, Penn, and Delaware Shakespeare. He serves as guiding faculty for Theatrical Intimacy Education and has an MFA in Theatre Arts from Randolph College, where his thesis work on ethically and authentically playing genders outside of an actor's lived experience. His research focuses on queer and trans stories in both new works and classical texts. Leo is a Barrymore-nominated performer and has been seen on stage with Hedgerow (Little Women), Shakespeare in Clark Park (A Bottom's Dream), and Delaware Shakespeare (The Winter's Tale), as well as various alt comedy and clown stages about town. He recently debuted his solo show, Lady! Lady! Lady!, a gender-decadent clowny draggy exploration of girlhood and showbiz. They are a teaching artist with Quintessence, an Artistic Squad Member with Delaware Shakespeare, and a member of the Shakespeare Association of America.
