Biography
Pamela Weichmann is the Director of the Master of Arts in Arts Administration program and an Adjunct Professor in the College of the Arts at Rowan University. With over 10 years of experience in higher education and more than 18 years of leadership in nonprofit arts administration, she specializes in experiential learning, community engagement, and the design of innovative education initiatives that connect academic study with professional practice. She teaches Fundraising and Development, Education and Community Outreach, and Advocacy and Arts Policy.
In addition to her work at Rowan, she serves as the Director of Education and Artist Services at WheatonArts and Cultural Center, where she leads lifelong learning programs, an international artist fellowship program, and cross-sector partnerships that expand access to the arts across diverse communities. Formally trained as a ceramic artist at Rowan University and The Pennsylvania State University, she has previously exhibited work within the region.
She is currently pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership at Drexel University, where her research examines experiential learning in higher education and its impact on professional identity development and creative career self-efficacy among undergraduate visual arts students. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Rowan University and a Master of Science in Arts Administration from Drexel University.
