Translational Orthopedic Device Engineering & Sciences at Rowan University provides two remote graduate pathways designed for students and professionals interested in orthopedic device innovation, clinical translation, and technology implementation. The Master of Translational Orthopedic Device Engineering (MTODE) and the Certificate of Graduate Study in Translational Orthopedic Device Sciences (CTODS) provide advanced education at the interface of engineering, medical sciences, orthopedic technology, translational research, and product development. The programs are delivered through a flexible online platform, allowing students to participate from any location while engaging in live instruction, interactive virtual coursework, and orthopedic device-focused learning.
Developed through the Rowan-Virtua School of Translational Biomedical Engineering & Sciences and Virtua Health System, these programs are intended to prepare graduates for leadership and collaborative roles in orthopedic device design, evaluation, commercialization, clinical integration, and implementation. The master’s degree provides a comprehensive 30-credit pathway with applied research, while the graduate certificate provides a focused 12-credit credential for students and professionals seeking concentrated expertise in orthopedic device sciences.
